Quandum AerospaceSpanish optoelectronics manufacturer has become the first to try Zortrax’s new Powerful Trio 3D printing ecosystem.
The company has been a long-time user of Zortrax 3D printers, and as such was trusted by be the first to test Zortrax Powerful Trio. This ecosystem comprises the Inkspire 2UV LCD 3D printer, as well as Zortrax Cleaning Station (post-processing devices) and Zortrax Curing Station.
Quandum Aerospace utilized the new ecosystem in order to manufacture medical device components for one of its customers.
Rafael Rodríguez Rosas, Chief Technology Officer at Quandrum, said: “We’ve been working with this system for a month, and I can say with confidence that this is one of the best 3D printing solutions Zortrax has ever created. It’s simple to use, quick, accurate, reliable, and fast. Its ability to efficiently deal with high-end resins makes it a valuable tool. Such materials have the potential to become a viable alternative for high-performance FDM polymers in aerospace, medical and military applications.”
Zortrax claims that it received positive feedback regarding the new ecosystem from Quandum. Quandum said that the systems work well together, according to the company.
Quandum stated that the Zortrax Inkspire 2 was a useful tool for producing large prototypes and small series. According to the company the factory-calibration of build platforms and the resin management system made it possible to fabricate large parts.
The Zortax Cleaning Station is part of the ecosystem. It lifts models from cleaning fluid after it has ended. Quandum said that the Zortrax Curing Station was the final step of the solution.
“Feedback on the Zortrax Powerful Trio we get from Quandum and many others is very encouraging to say the least. This new lineup is popular with users. They find it easy to use, efficient, solid, and reliable. That’s what we aimed for. Now we know that’s what we delivered,” said Mariusz Babula, CEO of Zortrax.
