An expert will teach beginners how to lino print in a Saturday workshop at the AVA Community Arts Center, from 4-8 p.m. taught by Angelica Moskaliuk.
The workshop starts with an introduction into linocut. This is an art form that looks similar to woodcut but uses linoleum. Students will learn to use carving tools. Moskaliuk will walk them through how to make repeating patterns and show how to ink one.
While people can bring their own images to use, there will be inspiration available at the centre. Moskaliuk provides all art supplies and the workshop is open to anyone over 13 years old.
For members, the cost is $50 and for non-members it’s $55.
