The weather in October is unpredictable, with a sudden return to summer warmth and then a chilly autumn breeze. We are forced to wear oversized coats and sunglasses.
Our editors have embraced the fall transition with a variety of footwear options, including knee-high boots decked in silver harnesses and cozy slippers. The editors were also intrigued by statement lingerie in this month’s issue, such as a pink corset with pearls straps, an cheeky pierced lace bralette, and a black cat matching set. Accessories like cute heart-shaped bags and Halloween phone charms are also very popular. There are also the classics like LBDs and gold hoops.

Anna Sui Low Back Midi Dress, $405, here, and on sale for $204 here (sizes XS-L): This dress not only gives the perfect amount of minimalism from the ’90s, but it is also incredibly comfortable, does not wrinkle, and is perfect for weddings in fall or winter. Extreme Cashmere N.280 Bi, $700, available here (one size): “I am generally afraid of cashmere because I admit that I get lazy with the laundry and following carefully specific garment-care instructions. It’s not great, I admit. This means that if I see a garment with the label “machine washable”, my ears perk up. Extreme Cashmere is a Dutch cashmere brand that has a care label on every knit product. Founder Saskia Dijkstra styled me in an oversized rounded-neck cardigan herself, tucking and scrunching up in all the right places, and I have never felt cooler (or cozier!).” —Ana Colón, Deputy Editor

Maison Margiela Tabi Ballet Flats, $690, available here: “They’re having a moment, but I think they are timeless. That is why I was able to spend a fair amount of money on the Tabi flats that I wanted.” The leather is of excellent quality, and the shoes are more comfortable than expected after several wears. —Dhani
You can buy the Series Ballet Balustrade Barbie Puffer here for $260 (one size). “The Series has taken vintage sleeping bag and reconstructed them into nostalgia filled puffer coats for a while now. But nothing got me more excited about this ballerina-Barbie version. It’s not only adorable, but also very warm (thanks in part to the insulated sleep bags). —Brooke

Buck Mason Highland Alpaca Cable Cardigan (sizes S-XXXX), $328.This cable cardigan is my winter wardrobe staple. It has a luxurious feel. The fabric is a mixture of Peruvian Alpaca and Wool, making it super soft and warm. —Andrea

Noir Kei Ninomiya Hunter harness rain boots, $940. Available Here: “These are the BDSM versions of the classic Hunter Boots I wore everyday to high-school. Even when it didn’t rain. The End Oops Halter bralette in pink mesh, $92, here (sizes from XS to XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX). The barbell rings placed cheekily on the front are very fun. I would layer this bralette on top of an undershirt to make it more visually appealing. —Liza

The looser fit of this Cult Gaia sweater and the funky closure embellishments are my favorites. After seeing Meghan Markle wearing the brand at the beginning of September, I am keeping an eye out for the latest releases.” —Andrea
