“An exposed bra is the perfect way to reveal a little [skin] while still keeping some mystery when dressing,” Petra Flannery, a celebrity stylist who works with Zoe Saldaña and Emma Stone, tells TZR. Others soon followed suit. In May, Scarlett Johansen wore lingerie on the red carpet at the 76th Annual Cannes Film Festival. Sydney Sweeney also wore it. Johansen opted for a simple, built-in bra-style gown by Prada. Sweeney, on the other hand wore a Miu Miu slip over her undergarment. Olivia Rodrigo – a fashionista who is never out of style – cosigned the trend in June by letting her purple bra peek through a black tank.
